Our Aims and Values

Uddingston Grammar aims to create an atmosphere and learning environment where all are given equal opportunity to develop their skills and abilities in all aspects of life to their full potential.

A school has existed in the parish of Uddingston for over 150 years, and The Grammar itself is over 100 years old. We have a long tradition of excellence, summed up by our motto, worn proudly by our young people, Virtute Crescam.

We are in our new building, built on our former playing fields. The state-of-the-art facilities and technology available to our young people make them the envy of many. We wish to utilise this to continue to build on our success and to strengthen our relationships with our local community and partners.

The values which underpin this aim are - equality of opportunity; respect for others; self discipline; responsibility and independence; trustworthiness; provision of an enjoyable school experience in a pleasant environment.
